School Resumption Should Be Shifted To January 2021, Because Of These Reasons

Of a truth the school resumption has really put some parents in a tight corner not just them but also the students, schools where all closed down in 17 March 2020 because of the pandemic, and since then students have been at home since.

Recently there was an announcement that schools should begin to reopen, and in some state school has started already although it's a good thing that schools are beginning to reopen, but it will be good and reasonable if it is extended to next year January and here is why.

At the cause of the lockdown so many things happen, things where not moving, businesses stagnant se.o many people were sack from their job because the company couldn't afford to pay it workers anymore, and that has really affected some parents and it will be difficult to keep up with any demand from schools now because some have up to 4 to 5 children.

The resumption although people were expecting but within the time it was announced, and the time students are expected to resume is too short, they are suppose to be giving enough time to prepare mentally and physically before fully resuming activity, so students especially in those in the university are seeing themselves through school and will need time to put money together before going back to school.

The year is already finished, the federal government in my opinion should hold on for little more so that adequate preparation could be done and things to resume full my January.

This is my opinion so please guys share your know Opinions with me in the comment section below, thanks for your time.

  5. I don't blame u , perhaps u might have been done with schooling . u do know what it is to subtract a year from ones existence.
Are u aware what it will bring? Didn't check the ,almost one year strike observed during OBJ ,what it caused in some states.
I might be a Nigeria by birth but am ashamed to say it. Please let school open.

  11. I think school should resume next yr because of the financial problems most parents will be facing now,and school don't know weather you have money or not

  12. Nigeria should reopen the field of Learning, they are not the only Country that were affected by the ongoing pandemic. The National School calender has already been affected.

  13. I would say your opinion is insightful because indeed most parents are currently financially handicap and will not be able to take financial responsibility of their children at the Tertiary institutions now. It is therefore best not to reopen schools this year again.

  15. Same thing I discussed with someone in my area last week...my fear is....so many schools here in Ogun state are not well prepared...imagine schools with bad toilets and environment...see...I would have mention names of some schools which govt should shut down with immediate effects...but...I won't...I will rather do what's right with my children.....they are still at home ..doing their studies at home...they will resume by January...better late than be late...systems of education in naija is so poor and ugly...those school edifices we are seen on tv are the good ones....why can't govt go to the bad ones and reorientate THEIR pioneers...Ogun state schools are the worst....I mean some....There are schools around magboro...magada...gasline...small London here in prayercity side which govt ought to have shut down....cuz of lack of good infrastructure for the pupils....now that the students have resumed...such schools are capable of giving viruses to the student....govt should stop the nonsense they are doing by favouring the proprietor s and proprietresses at the expense of the students lives.....they want school... re....opened....yet...There is no conducive clean environment for learning....It's better govt start curbing the establishment of illegal creation of private schools who are not capable of giving good ..clean ...conducive and lovey atmosphere for the students...imagine the teachers.watching television in the classroom for one hour before starting first morning subject.....I'm of opinion...that..govt should use this year to inspect the schools ...and force the school owners to put necessary infrastructure in place ...my tot though.....tks

  16. Am not with you on this, what of those who need to go for nysc program. And bcs of the 6 month lockdown the age as pass, must are now 30. And u still want more month so more people will not be allowe to go for service abi. For me school should open and government should help d finalists that his or her age pass with 6 to 9 month in other to allow them to serve their fathers land

  19. #ALLOWSTUDENTSTORESUME#September 27, 2020

Am sorry if my opinion may seem one side favouring the students because we have been at home for so long and even if one has been reading, one can't still be academically sound as when one is in school ,and if the resumption is postponed both students and teachers will find it difficult to cope with studies , and also the teachers are struggling because of no payment of salary ,so I beseech to the government to approve the resumption of all schools as soon as possible .

  20. Please even though all students are not allowe to resume, please for God sake let only the final year students resume, because I can't afford to pay for another house rent next year, because my house rent is sixty something thousand, please I can't pay such money next year okay
